Day 28  - 12/8/09  - Tuesday

'Badga's Birthday'

Geoff has moved on to the shower giving him shocks, Skinner has felt it too, we get the handy man in (with his multimeter) and he confirms there is  definately a current coming though the hot water. The solution they come up with is to turn their water off! Not that this makes much difference as all we seem to get is a trickle if we're lucky. As per a plan made last night, we pursue traditional British beach pastimes, constructing a large sandcastle (well a big heap anyway), much to the amusement of locals. When we get bored of that we bury Geoff in the sand, again we get many strange looks from locals walking past. Transport is finalised to get us to the airport on Thursday and flights are checked. Arrangements are made with the Paradise to make a chocolate cake for Badga's party tonight, I return Badga's presents and 'card' to George (having being their custodian since Moshi) , after signing the person and chasing those who hadn't I return to the now familiar routine of lazing around the pool. Another group head up to the old town. Badga's party.. having been paying for food ourselves for the last few days the budget stumps up one last meal, (budget boys celebrate their last job!) The presents are presented, the cake is eaten and alcohol is consumed. A fine way to celebrate the eve of our last night in Africa.
